From Classroom to Cargo: Simon’s Internship at Tschudi Logistics
At Tschudi Logistics, we believe in fostering talent and giving students hands-on experience in the dynamic world of logistics. Meet Simon Cederfjord, a 22-year-old International Logistics student at Chalmers University, who joined us as an intern.

A Passion for Problem-Solving in Logistics
“When I started looking for an internship, Tschudi was the first company I applied to,” Simon explains. “Project logistics fascinated me because I see myself as a problem solver, and I wanted to work in a smaller company with diverse tasks. Tschudi seemed like the perfect fit.”
During his internship, Simon has taken on freight forwarding tasks, including contacting suppliers, preparing offers for customers, and booking transports. The opportunity to work on varied tasks has given him a broad understanding of the industry, and getting to go on-site to observe logistics operations firsthand has made the experience even more rewarding.
Working Across Borders: A People-Centric Industry
One of the biggest takeaways from Simon’s internship has been the human aspect of logistics. He has had the opportunity to work with colleagues, clients, and suppliers from different countries and cultures, giving him valuable experience in international business.
“I knew logistics was a global industry, but actually working in it has shown me just how much relationships and communication matter. Whether it’s coordinating with suppliers or speaking with customers, having strong connections is essential to getting things done.”
A Supportive & Inspiring Work Culture
Beyond external relationships, Simon has been impressed by the team spirit within Tschudi.
“Tschudi has a very warm and welcoming environment. At the annual Tschudi Logistics Summit, even though it was my first week, everyone was incredibly nice and talkative, making me feel part of the team right away. My colleagues are always willing to help and share their knowledge, which inspires me to learn as much as possible.”
Looking Ahead: A Future in Project Logistics
Simon is more certain than ever that project logistics is the right path for him.
“The little experience I have makes me want to learn even more. As far as I can tell, logistics is a field where you continue to learn no matter how long you’ve been in it.”
His advice to future interns?
“Choose a smaller company where you can work on many different tasks to broaden your knowledge. And if you get the chance—do your internship at Tschudi Logistics!”

Final Thoughts: A Memorable Experience
Describing his internship in three words, Simon chooses: “Interesting, fun, and giving.”
A highlight has been traveling on-site to observe a complex loading operation. Seeing the process up close and understanding the real-world challenges of logistics has reinforced his interest in the industry and given him a deeper appreciation for the coordination and teamwork behind every successful project.
At Tschudi Logistics, we are proud to support young professionals like Simon and provide them with meaningful experiences in our industry.
